The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has released its manifesto for the 2026 Kerala Assembly Election. Poverty eradication, job creation, and women's empowerment are the core pillars.
Employment & Economic Growth
- 20 lakh jobs for women within five years
- 60,000 jobs in the current academic year
- Expand Global Capability Centers (GCC) from 40 to 120, creating 2 lakh professional jobs
- Interest-free loans for youth startups
- Campus placements and skill training to address unemployment
Welfare & Poverty Eradication
- Identify 5 lakh families for complete eradication of absolute poverty
- Welfare pensions increased to Rs 3,000
- Employment guaranteed for 50% of women workforce
- Comprehensive care for bedridden patients
Housing & Infrastructure
- Life Mission 2.0 — homes for all remaining homeless families; Kerala to become the first state with universal housing
- Rs 2 lakh crore infrastructure investment over five years
- 4 industrial corridors linked to Vizhinjam and Kochi
- Completion of Vizhinjam port second phase
- Metro rail in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode
- High-speed rail corridor
Agriculture
- Paddy MSP increased to Rs 35, coconut to Rs 45, rubber to Rs 300
Education
- 4 Higher Education Cities in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, and Kozhikode — targeting world-class standards
